Is there a relationship between human development and dependenceon fisheries?

International food and raw material security issues has gained much more importance than ever. This study examines that the following questions ‘Who depends onwhom?’ ‘What is level of dependency?’ considering relationships between “fisheries context” (catch aquaculture production, total fisheries export import,fisheries import value, fish consumption per capita, processed product) human development countries (as Human DevelopmentIndex-HDI). The overall result pointed located in highest categories terms HDI were both import-dependent. most levels dependency for Low Developed Countries (HDI < 0.550) consumption, imports; Medium (0.550 ≤ <0.699) exports, catch production;for High (0.699 <0.80) was exports; Very Countries-I (0.80≤ 0.900) Countries-II ( ≥ 0.90) value. To improve maintain thefood around world, points could be suggested: i) to increase production inland marine environments where possible, ii) low medium developed countries, instead exporting, support increasing capacity products have higher global market prices.
